Our Right Way in a Day navigation course is perfect for anyone keen to develop a package of key navigation skills. We know that complicated maps and confusing looking compasses can make navigation seem a daunting prospect. Luckily it isn’t! All that’s needed is a progressive and practical approach to skill development and plenty of time to consolidate them through practice.
Our Right Way in a Day Beginners Navigation course offers the answer. A day with us in the heart of the Peak District National Park will provide an essential ‘toolbox’ of techniques delivered in a systematic, practical and fun way. A one day course can’t teach you everything about navigation, but you’ll certainly leave us far more confident about heading off the beaten path.
In our opinion the Peak District is the very best location to learn introductory navigation skills. We have beautiful countryside, accessible venues and perfect navigation terrain. Add to that our easy accessibility and well established visitor infrastructure (our Hope Valley Guide will give you some useful info if you are a new visitor). Believe us, in this area we really do have it all.
Our Mountain Training qualified team have been walking the trails of the UK’s first national park for decades. That’s important. We know all the sneaky venues to escape the honeypot sites and the best options to maximise your skills development. You’ll receive the very best quality training in a supportive and relaxed atmosphere. All participants for this course must be over 16 and under 18’s must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
Our range of courses are designed to suit all experience levels and they are designed to be progressive. Our Right Way in a Day option suits anyone on the start of their navigation skills journey. If you do have a little more time please also consider our Introductory (Bronze) navigation course. This option also suits those new to navigation. There is some of the same content but the additional day allows us to cover a few more things. It also allows more practice time. If you have a reasonable navigation skills background then you may prefer to step straight into our Intermediate (Silver) option.
Don’t worry if you aren’t sure which level to step in at. Just Contact Us or call and we’ll be delighted to advise you. We want your training to be right for you.
