The largest part of our work is private guiding. It is our speciality. After all, we went into business to share our passion for the mountains. Our articles What Does Success Like? and Full Circle explain our journey and ethos.
It is our biggest privilege to pass on some of the mountain knowledge we have gained over decades in the mountains. We are extremely proud of the many amazing adventures we’ve shared with our private clients. They seem happy too. Our extremely high return rates show we are doing something right!
Private guiding suits those with minimum time but maximum ambition. Put simply, it enables you to get the very most from the time you have. It also gives a lot of flexibility on dates and itineraries.
On the type of terrain where we usually get asked to provide guides we will typically be working on a maximum 1 guide to 2 clients ratio. We also often get asked to run bespoke courses for private groups. We are more than happy to work with a higher ratio if the activity dictates that it is safe.
Any of our website courses can be run on a private basis or you may have an adventure of your own in mind. In the product links below we’ve shared a few examples of the type activities we have undertaken recently and a few representative photos from past adventures. These are just samples though. We love to be challenged and our clients are constantly surprising us with their ideas. Please simply Contact Us or call and we’ll work out a plan to match your own aspirations.
Our private guiding has a simple and transparent pricing structure. 1:1 guiding costs £220 and 1:2 guiding costs £240 (£120 per person) per day. We often make no additional charge for expenses although for work further afield we will need to add an expenses cost for this. We will clarify any additional costs before you book.
It may also be able to have several client adventures running in the same place consecutively. This helps us to reduce the cost to you and minimises the environmental impact of our travel.
All technical equipment is supplied free of charge. All we’ll ask you to provide is appropriate personal clothing and suitable boots.
