Mountains On Stage
Mountains On Stage is an annual celebration of the world’s best mountain sport films. It was started by enthusiasts Cyril Salomon and Manon Grimwood in 2013 and now has screenings all over Europe. This year’s programme features 4 inspirational films.
From The Shade To The Light charts Charles Dubouloz’s incredible 2022 solo winter ascent of the iconic route Rolling Stones on the North Face of the Grand Jorasses. Over six gruelling days he battles extreme conditions and a journey of self discovery on this iconic face.
Free Rider is a funny and immersive ski film following Victor Delerue (twice Freeride World Tour winner) and Sam Anthamatten on extreme descents in the stunning mountains of Alaska.
Nina Williams is a specialist in committed bouldering. Katie Lambert is well accustomed to big adventures in Yosemite. In Nina and Katie in Yosemite they team up to tackle one of the most difficult routes in the valley.
Mount Logan is the second highest peak in North America and one of the wildest mountains in the world. When Hélias Millerioux, Alex Marchesseau, Thomas Delfino and Gregory Douillard decided to climb it they certainly didn’t choose the easiest option. Their desperate approach is done on foot and on skis with each person battling 80kg’s of equipment over hundreds of kilometres of moraines and glaciers. Once at the peak their focus is the previously unasked East Ridge. The Vagabonds of Logan shares their incredible story.
