Something to smile about.....

At the moment we have taken the difficult but necessary decision to postpone all first aid courses up to the end of April (to be reviewed mid April).  We appreciate this is inconvenient for our customers and we will be adding additional dates to cope with increased demand as soon as we can safely start to operate again.

Fortunately, provision has now been made by the relevant official bodies to extend the requalification/renewal period for an additional 3 month period and our awarding body (ITC First) have released the following guidance).  We hope this helps to clarify the situation and buy everyone some breathing space in these unprecedented and challenging times.  If you do have any questions please don't hesitate to contact us and we'll be very happy to help.

All learners holding first aid qualification certificates which have an expiry date on or after 16 March 2020 will have an extra 3 months to requalify or renew their qualifications.  This applies to ALL First Aid qualifications.

Outdoor First Aid qualifications may also be subject to any specific guidance from National Governing Bodies (NGB) of leader, coaching or instructing awards that you hold.  The Institute of Outdoor Learning (IOL) is also attempting to consolidate the guidance from the NGBs.

The national guidance from HSE is available here and the First Aid Awarding Organisation Forum (FAAOF) is available here.  You can also find the ITC statement here.
