Please help us help the WSDO.....
On Paul’s recent visit to Nepal he chatted to representatives of the Women’s Skills Development Organisation (WSDO). This Fair Trade non-profit organisation supports women facing difficult social and economic hardship by providing free training and employment opportunities. The result of the employees hard work is a range of beautiful handwoven products. They have loads of information on their website here. We love the things they make and the reasons they make them. Everyone wins. So, we are really keen to help generate some additional income for them and so, as a small starting point, Paul brought a batch of their cute little purses back to raise funds. Can you help?
The purses are a simple zip closure bag which is great for storing cash, repair kit finger tape, a small first aid kit, snacks, or just about any other small items you can think of - we even dished out a few stuffed with little eggs as Easter presents. We initially have 50 available and we are selling them for £6 each which includes P&P. We’ll cover the purchase cost and so, once we’ve sold them all, that will raise a good starting point of £250 (once P&P is deducted) which Paul will take out on his next visit.
We’ll also be thinking of some other ways to raise additional funds for the organisation and so please do let us know if you have any ideas. If you want to buy a purse (or 5!) please just get in touch via our Contact Form here and we’ll get them out to you. Every little helps.
