A brand new Friendly Friday Giveaway......

14th Mar 2014

Essential mountain kit list…..map, compass, spare warm layers, lots of yummy food and…….a warm air boot dryer!

We have a lot of kit (and we bet you do too!).  Of course it’s all essential but, just like George Orwell suggested in Animal farm, some bits are more essential than others.  No matter how good all that Gucci gear may be, your dream day in the mountains will never get off to the best start if your boots are still damp from the day before.

For years an absolute essential for us has been a warm air boot dryer.   Arrive back at your accommodation after a damp day, pop the dryer in your boots, sit back and relax, sleep, get dressed, switch off boot dryer, pull on dry and pre warmed boots.  Perfect!  The only improvement would be if you could get one of them for free.  Well, now you can!

Peak Mountaineering comes to the rescue with 2 Snapdry boot and glove dryers to give away in our latest Friendly Friday Giveaway.  The Snapdry model we have available (which we reluctantly admit is more advanced than our own version!) features an air fan which will both dry your footwear as well as pre warm it, a built in timer will control up to 24 hours of drying time (although normal drying time is only between 1 and 5 hours), long air ducts allow you to dry everything from walking boots to wellies and an integrated glove stand means you can also keep your hand wear ready for use too (we’ve even used ours succesfully on our drysuits!).  The Snapdry really will become your new BFF and the retail price is usually a chunky £50.

To be in with a chance of winning one of these amazing inventions  just make sure you Like us on Facebook, follow us on Twitter and have signed up for our newsletter via our home page.  Finally, email us with the answer to the following simple question…..

Q. Does the Snapdry boot and glove dryer have a timer feature?

Good luck.  The winners will be announced on April 4th.
