The 2014 Peak District Litter Pick.....

27th Nov 2013

A brand new event......with no name!  Please help.....

Over the last couple of years Peak Mountaineering has been proud to organise an event called Envirotrek.  This celebration of collective activism combined litter collection with the chance for participants to try a variety of outdoor activities.  It was very successful and last year alone the litter collection teams gathered over 100kgs of rubbish in only 2 hours.

We have opted not to organise another Envirotrek in 2014 but we are very keen to run a similar event.  It will run along the same lines but a significant feature of the Peak Mountaineering event will be absolutely zero cost to participants.  Anyone that collects litter with us gets the chance to play for free.  It's that simple.

So far the event is still being planned and we'll be making more information available really soon.  What we do have is a date - so please put April 26th 2014 in your diary.  We are also delighted to have the support of our friends at the Peak Park Conservation Volunteers, Visit Peak District and Friends of the Peak District as well as teaming up with our friends at Large Outdoors. It promises to be a celebration of giving something back.  We really hope you can join us.

However, what we are really short of at the moment is a name for the event.  If you have any ideas please send them to us at info@peakmountaineering.com. No great event is complete without a great name......and we haven't got one yet!
