Climbers self-rescue course

This course is a bit like first aid - every climber knows they should do a course but never seem to get around to it.  We think this course is vital.  Would you know what to do is your partner fell and injured themselves on a sea-cliff traverse or you were abseiling and found you had to get past a knot in your rope or even if you simply dropped your belay plate?  This course gives you so much more confidence when you are climbing because you have strategies available to you if the worst happened.

We will cover all the key rescue skills from simple to complex including escaping the system, prussiking, hoisting, accompanied abseils and also spend some time looking at how to avoid the problems occurring in the first place. Everything is done at your own pace with a step-by-step approach that give you lots of time to practice everything thoroughly.  We will spend most of the first day on the key skills before putting everything into practice on day 2 by setting some challenging ‘now get out of that’ style scenarios. Based in the Peak District.

Please check our Course Calendar for upcoming courses

The climbs will always be there, the trick is to make sure you are too.
