Costa Daurada
A Spanish gem. For this 5 day sport climbing fest we travel to Spain’s gold coast – home of a lifetime’s quality single pitch limestone climbing. From the beautiful sun kissed crags at Siurana village, to the dramatic La Mussara, with its dozens of quality pitches set in a dramatic location 1000m above the Mediterranean. This trip is a great chance to push your grade safely, learn the particular skills needed to sport climb efficiently and have a lot of fun along the way. It is suitable for all experience levels.
The Costa Daurada area is situated just a couple of hours drive from Barcelona offering us a good route for cheap air travel and the chance for you to combine the climbing section of the trip with some time in the city strolling La Rambla (Barcelona’s famous Iconic street) and checking out Gaudi’s unfinished masterpiece La Sagrada Familia (well worth the visit) by adding a couple of days at the beginning or end if you wish.
Accomodation is in simple but comfortable wooden cabins on a pleasant site in the peaceful village of Vilanova de Prades. The cabins have a small kitchen and fridge if you want to self cater (as well as pleasant outdoor terraces to eat your home cooked meal!) and en-suite toilet and showers. The site has good facilities, a homely restaurant, a swimming pool and most importantly, a great atmosphere. The small village also has a lovely ambience and it is no coincidence that it’s situated just a short walk away from one of the best crags in the area!
Accommodation costs are included in the prices along with transport within Spain and all instruction. All we ask you to organise is flights (although we can book these for you) and food.
