Tying the Classic Prussik Knot......

28th Jul 2017

You can tell it's the summer holidays when the Peak Mountaineering Juniors start churning out their instructional videos!  Here's the first in their series of offerings.

The Classic Prussik Knot

We suggest the Classic Prussik, French Prussik and Klemheist are the three friction knots every climber should know.  All three have their pros and cons although, of course, the key is really to know in what context to use each type.  We hope this video explains how to tie it.....but you may want to consider one of our Peak Mountaineering Climber's Self-Rescue courses to get a full picture on their use.  Details on these courses are here (and we will be announcing a special subsidised Self-Rescue course next week too).

More Peak Mountaineering Junior instructional videos to follow :)
